I would read and re-read The Heroes Guide series from 4th grade to 7th grade. It made me think of this website for some reason. The book I ended up writing was terrible, but the feeling of validation that came with getting advice from a real author was something that I will always cherish, and the knowledge that someone who could weave stories that made me laugh and that truly kept me engaged kept me writing I am now writing a new novel that is much better than that first attempt, and I recently hit 100 pages.

Now they’re on the run in a desperate attempt to clear their names.Īlong the way, however, they discover that Briar’s murder is just one part of a nefarious plot to take control of all thirteen kingdoms-a plot that will lead them across the ocean, through a scorching desert, and to the doorstep of an eerily familiar fortress for a final showdown with an eerily familiar enemy.Ĭhristopher Healy returns once again to the fairy-tale world he created for the last installment in his epically humorous history. Posters plastered across the thirteen kingdoms are saying that Briar Rose has been murdered-and the four Princes Charming are the prime suspects, along with Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Lila.
